Red, blue and green vertical lines in middle of screen all functions are ok

Hi I have a RCA 52" / p52960. it is about 3 years. I had about six power flickers (on,off,on,off,on...off,on,off....on) one day, the tv was pluged into a surge protector that I got at the same time as the tv,later that evening the screen wnt to three, red, blue and green vertical lines, side to side, all other functions appear to be normal. sound is fine you can turnchanels and hear them change. it seems you can see the line colors jump as though the picture is active. I have looked at the tubs and they are all three have amber light at yolk when on.

Don't overlook the power supply--small PCB mounted above main PCB's.Has STK730-020 and associated circuitry.Consult service literature.

Tibs?? what are tubs?? Your problem is a convergence problem. there are two stk###-### you have to have a TV repair person relace for you . there may be some touch up alighnment needed also when IC's are replaced. Good Luck

you have some sort of a deflection problem its either vertical failure or the yoke return circuit on the horizontal has a failure

Colors are seperated

This is an ITC222 chassis. Very common for broken pins under flyback to cause this. Resolder flyback and replace adjacent 400ma fuse. It's a little red box, there are 3 in a row and the one that blows is the middle one. If this does not repair, suspect the convergence power supply. It's the vertical board above the power supply. I've replaced the power mosfet on that a few times as well. And remember if there's any doubt contact a professional. Goodluck.

The vertical deflection output chip or associated cirutry including the coupling cap and controls. Some units have vertical output transistors which can short and open the B+ resistor feeding the transistors.

Intermitten snowy picture

well the vertical deflection IC is good but you need to get the conversion chip for it , it controls the vertical , horizontal, color, color alignment ,
it would be wise to get it done soon before anymore dammage is done
