I turn my tv on but 5 minutes after the screnn will turn red (sound still good),but the red flicks accross the screen in a pattern , in order for my to get the picture back i need to turn it off at the plug and turn it back on when it does it again
any sugestions

I red drive problem possibly on the red crt board or from the video jungle IC, like a bad red driver transistor, The resistors on the crt board could be changing value, or the crt socket on the red driver board could have poor solder connections on them. This is not a problem that a end user should attempt, as there is high voltages on the CRT drive boards. Going to need to have the tech monitor the set and test untill problem occours. Should not be a big deal .. Good Luck

Do you have speakers next to your tv sometimes the line on your tv will be from your sound to close to your tv also the red line could mean your tv tube is going out there about 300 to replace but i ould check frist on your sound are something close to you tv that is maken the red line in the middle of your tv
nice to have model number. tap on crt board with a plastic handle see if it goes away. otherwise it sounds like the tube is bad, you could also try to adjust the red brightness screen
It certainly sounds like the Red CRT (picture tube) has heater-cathode leakage and is not likely worth repairing, as all 3 tubes usually have to be replaced at the same time for best picture quality.
