I turned off my phone cuz the text messaging wasnt working. since then the phone hasnt turned on. the screen lights up and freezes on 'hello moto', the keypad goes dead after that. i've removed the battery and put it back in, i've cleaned the surfaces of the battery and sim card (for overtime residue cleanup) but to no effect. i only bought this phone in august of 2008. there was only one "accident". it fell from my hand (on the battery side, flat) but it worked fine even after that. whats wrong with my phone? should i just send it to motorola since its still under warranty?

When typing a text message or entering info in the phone book...phone always freezes on the 3rd letter...and the only way to get out of the freeze is to take the battery out and turn the phone back on once the battery is put back in....why does the phone freeze?
hey.....this also happened to me but i went swimming with mine....but then i also dropped it and it got stood on by my mother lol....i ended up taking the battery out and leaving it off for a few days ( hard to have no phone) but it hasnt played up for a while now ....not the most technical answer but i hope it helps :)
Sounds like your phone's been through some rough treatment - try taking the battery & sim card off for a while - make sure there's no moisture & if you're still having problems, stop by your dealership shop & see what they can do.
