SOURCE: ordered lens for Canon T70 camera

Hi there and welcome to FixYa.

Check on the box. Your camera has an FD mount. The lens you need to use also has to fit the Canon FD mount. If the lens you received is not an FD mount lens...send it back.

Thanks for coming to FixYa.

SOURCE: I NEED A CANON COMMAND BACK 70

Canon has not sold those for quite a while. Your best bet is to go to Ebay, Film cameras, film camera body acessories, type in Canon Command back 70 and wait until one shows up.
If you save the search, you get an email everytime one comes up. Good luck.

REPLACE BATTERY ON t70

The T70 uses two AA batteries. They don't have to be lithiums; alkalines and rechargeable NiCd/NiMHs will work just as well.
The batteries go inside the grip on the right side of the camera, under the lid on the bottom. Push the latch toward the center of the camera and the lid will flip up. Follow the illustrated instructions beginning on page 8 of the manual.

The film won't re-wind in my Canon T70. Can I do this manually?

No. If it will not auto rewind you must in a change bag or completely dark closet open the camera remove the cartridge then manually rewind the film. All that in complete darkness. Then get the camera fixed.

Need the sleve that cover the battries

According to the pictures I see in the T70 manual, there is no sleeve required. It shows two AA batteries in the battery compartment, but no sleeve. Try just placing the batteries (properly oriented) into the well and closing the cover, and see if the camera powers on OK. You should be fine using it that way.

Canon T70 not taking photos!?!? Help

Oops my bad.

It could be a jammed shutter. If you take the lens out and the film out. Take a few pictures and see if the shutter moves. If there is no movement I would take it into a camera shop and take a look at it. Unless the shutter spring is busted, it could be an easy fix.

Is our Canon T70 dead?

It sounds like the motor is locked up. The gears under the bottom of the camera may have gotten sluggish from dried out lubrication. You can take the bottom off to see if the gears are able to turn freely or check with a local camera repair shop.
