I have a Delphi SkiFi XM Receiver and it got broken. Can I use all my cradles/boombox/power supplies if I buy a SkiFi 2?
What is the basic difference between them?
Thanks,
Dutch
The original SkyFi's display was quite difficult to see in the sunlight. The glare was too much. The new unit's display is a different material, and sunken in to alleviate the problem of glare.
The SkyFi2 also has TuneSelect. It was the first receiver to allow the user to enter the artist information for memory. Other units with TuneSelect only allowed song titles.
It also added a 3rd bank of presets, allowing for 30 presets instead of the original's 20 presets. SkyFi2 added the option of a stock ticker, or sports score ticker in the display. The original SkyFi's option of 3 different displays included the channel number only, to be displayed. Also, there is a built in FM modulator so you can set the tune on the reciever... and yes you will be able to use all of your accessories.

Could you please explain more about the built in FM modulator? Do I set the XM receiver to a blank radio station on my car stereo like the external modulator I use requires?
Can I leave the programmed station the same or must I change often due to interference being recived via geographical vehicle location?
Also, is the built in modulator output more a powerful modulator than an external one?
The external modulator I currently use often has noise and fades in and out. When I use the cassett tape the audio output quality is great but I hate the hanging wire.
