I recently plugged my camera into a converter while traveling in Europe. It took the charge (converter was marked 240 down to 110). When I tried to use it, the memory stick symbol began to flash. I changed batteries and it stopped. When I returned home and tried to download my pictures to my computer, my computer will no longer recognize the camera and the memory stick image is flashing all the time. I tried the reset button but it still doesn't work. Is my camera toast? I can see the images when I turn the camera on but I can no longer download them to my computer.
Thank you
Hi,
If the photos are showing on the camera, this means the problem could be part with camera and the part with the computer. To pinpoint the point of failure . Try plugging the camera into a different computer if you have access to another system.
The second option to recover all your pictures , is you can buy a USB flash card reader, You need to remove the memory stick from the camera and put the same in the USB reader and plug the same into your computer, to trassfer the pictures.
The other thing as you wrote, ie after the camera reset its doing the same , the problem is more likely with the camera
Thanks

Try using the memory card on a card reader and connect it to your computer, if the card is fine as you can view your pictures, you should be able to move the pictures into your computer.
Have you tried the memory card in a reader directly on a PC?
The camera may have encounter some damage on that incidenst , what you can try first here is to remove the battery for about 24 hours and after that check if you still ahve teh same problem, but if you're concern in transferring photos to your computer you can still do that using a card reader where you can put the memory card and conenct to the computer....
