Machine fills and runs first wash cycle, stops during first spin cycle. Where can I download a service manual for this model?
You need to replace the clutch. It could be under warrant still mine was. The part is 16.00 on line and should cost 1/2 hr labor to install. It will work wonderful after that!

Check pump for blockage. Coins (quarters in particular) will block the discharge of water.

Clutch issue and possible time for a tub seal replacement
Google this for a post that covers the Clutch removal and inspection/repair;
""Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW"" you will find the Service Manual in post 5 of that sticky.
Google this for Outer Tub bearing rebuild;"" FAV6800A/FAV9800A Outer Tub bearing replacement""
Jose,
I'm an owner of three FAV6800A machines and I'll respond to help because you want to roll up your sleeves and try to save your $1K machine.
1st No direct links Google this Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW
In the Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW 5 post down you will find a link to the Service Manual. You absolutely need the Service Manual to DIY issues with the machine. It's not the best SM but will get you started. I also have repair post in that sticky to help with the most common issues that I have helped owners with.
Post in that forum your machine Model which I assume is an FAV6800A (LED Console) or FAV9800A (LCD Console)
Include the first two digits of you machines model number. That is the series of your machine.
Give a description of the issue as you did here. I hope the grinding is during wash/agitate if so it may be something as simple as tumbler removal to clear out debris. If the grinding is in Spin Cycle it could be a bit more work like Outer Tub bearing failure.
The Forum in my opinion is geared more toward the DIY owner as I am and as you sound. The forum is free like this and my support is free..........Good Luck D*ick
