My Hitachi 50UX26B will not turn on. When I try to power it on it makes a click like it is trying to turn on, and the same when I power it off. The red light on the front of the unit also does not come on.
I have taken off the back of the unit, and there is a red light in the middle of the unit that comes on and blinks when I turn it on. The 12V fuse that is located where the power comes into the unit appears to be fine (I have not taken it out, being that it appears very tight).
Any suggestions?

Most likely 5a picofuse blown e9?? as well as cap. 707,710,711 and H.O.T. Should replace the voltage reg STRM????? in power supply also. BE CAREFULL in power supply.
If you have a H.V. probe, DISCHARGE the large filter caps to ground FIRST, they usually don't have a discharge path and you will shock the piss out of yourself or blow stuff up if you dont.

Hitachi has LED’s, green ‘lights’ and a red light to determine what circuit may be the problem; after removing the back of TV, bottom only, plug TV back in and observe which LED’s come on …..BUT most important which LED’s don’t come on; locate and note number, EG; DP37 and etc.
