Home Deport and Lowes each used to carry a generic front skirt for "jacuzzi" type tubs. You may find something at one of their stores that will work.
The other solution would be to contact a Jacuzzi Showroom for authorized replacement parts.
Right now you are having to turn it on/off by using the circuit breaker or just unplugging the pump right?
Is this a button you depress or an electric button like you would find on a microwave?
If it is a button you depress to turn it on/off then the problem is most likely the air switch located in the motor under the skirt of the tub.
If it is an electric button then it may be the control box under the tub that needs to be replaced.
If you are talking about the skirt of the tub, most are held in place with a glue backed velcro type fastener. It is a thin panel of plastic that goes on the front outside of the tub, this is known as the skirt of the tub.
hey bill no easy way what we do is measure height of edge that will sit on stud and tack stud in tub area and dry fit tub.when you do that you can see how much space is under tub for your mortor you should use light weight cement called structolite its white and not as heavy and yes a piece of tar or resin paper is a good idea
Generally I will make the entire front skirt of the tub removable. You need to make sure your access is located so that you can remove the pump if necessary. Access to the plumbing is advisable also but usually not required by code as it can be serviced from the top side.
