NOKIA N73 screen shows headset mode on the top right even when not connected to the headset.....so i am not able to hear anything even when i connect the headset it is not responding & i can't hear...

Hi Saik,
I think problem is caused by unplugging the jack before pausing/Stopping the music.
1) Plug in a headset into the jack
2) Open up a media player (either the MP3 player or any online music)
3) Begin to let the music play.
4) Stop the music from playing after a few seconds
5) Completely exit out of the media application.
6) With the headset still plugged in, wait about 15-30 seconds. (this is so that the media/pandora app task can "fully" stop from running)
7) Unplug the headset.
The phone should now be able to emit sound from the earpiece.

If the above does not work, other methods I have read tell you to plug in a headset & play music. While the music is playing, quickly remove & insert the headset into the jack (not too rough so if doesn't break anything) until you hear the music coming out of the speaker.

Finally, if you still have the issue, try rebooting. Turn off the Phone, Remove the battery completely and reinsert after 30 seconds. Turn on the Phone.

Hopefully that should fix the issue.

Hi how can i increase volume on my blackberry 9000. Even on high volume setting there is no ringtone sometimes

Hi there

On your Blackberry menu, there's an icon that resembles a person's head that represents profiles. In the profiles menu, you can select the volume for the notifications you receive when messages or calls come in. Choose "Loud" to hear all notifications at an equal volume, equivalent to the maximum output possible.

Some ring tones just remain less audible than others even when they're set to maximum volume. If you've tried increasing the volume of your notifications but still can't hear the ringer sometimes, try downloading a custom ringtone from the Blackberry App Store.

When selecting a custom ringtone, choose something distinctive and hard to ignore. When previewing the tone, determine whether it seems louder or easier to hear than your existing tone. Download more than one tone and experiment throughout the day.

After you've downloaded custom ringtones, set your phone to use these ringers by going into the applicable notification profile. Select "Show Tunes" and open the media folder where you've chosen to save your downloaded tones. Select the ringer you want and click "Set as Phone Tune."

Downloading

Your computer is full of potential free ringtones for your Samsung T229 (also known as Samsung SGH-t229, T-mobile t229) :
By Bluetooth:
The Samsung t229 is Bluetooth-enabled. Bluetooth is a wireless system which lets you connect your cell phone to computers, headsets, car kits, etc. If your computer is also Bluetooth-enabled, simply establish a connection between both devices and transfer your music files from your computer to your Samsung t229.
Simply record sound directly:
Since your Samsung t229 has a sound recorder (also known as "voice memo"), a very simple technique involves simply placing your phone near your computer's speakers, playing whatever music or sound you would like as a ringtone, and recording it -- you can even use your voice, your child's voice or even your cat's "meow!" Record it with your mobile and there you go! Unless that function was specifically blocked on the Samsung t229, you should be able to navigate to the ringtones section and choose your new recording as a ringtone. Of course, the quality will not be ideal but, after all, it's free!

Downloading using the phone
NOTE: MegaTones, HiFi Ringers, and Voices & Sounds are stored at Menu > Fun & Apps > Files > Sounds > Sounds. To download using the phone, perform the following steps: 1. At the main screen, select t-zones. 2. Scroll to and select Music & Sounds. 3. Scroll to and select HiFi Ringers, MegaTones, or Voices & Sounds. 4. Scroll to and select the desired category. 5. Scroll to and select the desired tone. 6. On the preview page, select ACCEPT. 7. After the tone downloads, select Play to preview the tone. 8. Select Set as. 9. Select one of the following options:
  • myFaves ringtone: To set as a myFaves® ringtone. Scroll to and select the desired myFaves contact.
  • Default ringtone: To set as the default ringtone.
  • Caller ringtone: To set as a caller ringtone. Scroll to and select the desired contact.
  • Alarm tone: To set as an alarm tone. Scroll to and select the desired alarm. Turn on the alarm and select the desired time and date.
10. Select Save.
