You'll have to take the camera in for service to replace the component that was damaged in the fall.

Unfortunately, the cost to repair the camera will most likely be as much or more than just buying a new, replacement camera.

SOURCE: broken camera

It is likely that your lens assembly was knocked out of alignment when you dropped the camera. When things do not line up inside the lens the whole unit cannot move in and out. This malfunction requires disassembly to fix, so you will have to get it to a professional for repair. There are providers online who can repair your camera, and also check with your manufacturer to see if they can service the camera at a reasonable rate. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

SOURCE: Blank screen

This sounds like CCD sensor is faulty and should be replaced . Camera works fine in playback mode generally with this problem but not in capture mode ( camera has gone 'blind'). Should be repaired free of charge if the camera is as old as you say.

SOURCE: Dropped my Olympus Stylus 1050 SW... now it wont turn on!

Get a new camera something broke on the inside of this one the term shock proof does not cover dropping the camera and the term waterproof does not cover submersion in water these terms must be taken very lightly shockproof means a good shaking won't bother the camera and waterproof means a drop or two of rain wont bother the camera. GOOD LUCK

SOURCE: Olympus 7010 shuts down in picture mode - not a battery problem

I will tell you how I did it for the same price you were going to charge me for a solution. To ask how I did it once I found a solution without a fee goes against your business model.

You've broken the screen. They can be replaced, checkout the Nikon support web pages. Or a good local photography retailer

Before committing to a repair, its always worth checking to see if its an economically viable option.

My olympus stylus 7010 lens is jammed and it wont stay on

If you've recently dropped the camera you may have lens damage which is causing the camera to shut down. If you haven't dropped it, your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Dropped Olympus fe-360!!

The problem you are describing is a problem with one of the chips in the camera that controls image processing. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced.

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if the one year warranty is over or the warranty is voided due to impact damage. The cost is $68.85 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.
