Had a paper jam, I fixed that then the printer started making a high pitched sound and gave me an error code of 2200. So I unplugged it because it would not power off. Now when I plug it in I get the same beepping sound. It stops after a couple of minutes but it will not power on. Dell says my warrenty is up so the only thing they can do is sell me a new one. Thank you
Well done tee1, sometimes it just takes a bit of self confidence. Sometime a paper jam can be bad enough to unsettle important working parts, enen by a few tiny mm's and this will be enough to throw a spanner in the works. Make sure you write down your problem solver in a fix it book. This is what i do so i never forget haow to fix a problem. Keep it at you office area or near printer.

I found out how to fix this problem. You must unscrew the glass part of the scanner. Plug in the power cord and when it comes on pull on the scanner part. This will unjam it and it starts working again.
