I had and solved this problem with my VX8000. Changing settings wouldn't fix it at all. I had to clean the contacts at the bottom of the phone. I actually had to open it and clean the contacts inside the phone. Once they were clean it left the car kit mode and worked as usually. I figured this out by doing a Google search on the problem. I just used a very thin, flat jewler's screwdriver to clean any dust out between the wires. Be careful not to bend the wires.
You wont believe this but same thing just happend to me with car-Kit thingie but try blowing compressed air on it for a couple mins and it should resolve your problem
As odd as it sounds I found help for this on some other sites/blogs/forums. It may be associated with 1 of 2 things. I solved my problem by doing both. First, it may be the phone got wet. So go through the usual steps (won't get into details here for sake of time. You can find this info all over the web if you don't know what to do) But, second trick was interesting and had to do with the connection at the bottom of the phone for the charger and a possible bent pin on the right side....try inserting firmly and removing the power adapter several times....even wiggling it araound a bit....especially on the right side...and believe it or not this worked for me.
Need to programe hedsat
Just clean out the serial connector at the bottom with a brush and alcohol.
To edit the settings for the headset, car kit, or another audio accessory, open Enhancement settings > Headset. Scroll to the following setting and press OK to edit. * Default profile - Scroll to the sound profile that you generally wat to use with the headset and press OK. Hope this works for you.
