How to download the driver for HDD Seagate Momentus 4200.2 ST9808210A for OS WINDOWS XP/SP3? Thank you

You don't need the driver for the hard drive to work (i.e. if your drive is not working right, the driver won't fix it; and, there doesn't appear to be a driver).

You should not be using Windows XP (consider at least Vista--tends to be gentle on XP upgraders (of old machines), and is still supported by MS).

I don't know your history (e.g. did you inherit and non-working machine, did this use to work and then stopped); but if it's supposed to be a working drive and you are installing for the first time, it may be that your jumper is set to slave and needs to be master or cable select (oh the old days of IDE):

I am trying to buy a replacement hard drive for my acer aspire 3500... what type of hard drive am i looking for ? is it the hdd ide 60 gb... can i get bigger gbs..... also can i use an stat converter on...

You would have to buy a IDE/ATA 2.5" Hard Drive at 4200 rpm.

You can buy a 80GB one here.

The model number is Seagate ST9808210A

Its about $56 dollars.

You can not use a sata converter on the motherboard.
