Whenever i put a cd in it wont play and an 'F15' message comes up. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to deal with it? cheers, matt
SOURCE: My CD player keeps flashing (F15) when I try to play a disc.
It means that the laser/motor module is disconnected. Open the player and locate the connection band of the module. It should be orange, about 1 cm wide and it comes out from under it. Push it HARD into it\'s socket. Make sure you don\'t leave sweat or grease on the electronic and test it. I hope it works for you!
SOURCE: CD will not play
Have it checked by a technician, common f15 errors are caused by the cd players lid not being closed, you need to see if the protruding plastics inside your cd player pushes the closed lid detection properly. If not, it needs some manual disassembly...
SOURCE: i had bought a regular
1. Check that the disc is free of scratches and dirt or dust. If the disk is dusty, use a soft, lint-free cloth and wipe the disk gently, using straight strokes from the center of the disc to the outer edge.
2. Make sure that you are inserting the disk with the plain, reflective side down.
2. Try listening to another CD (not burned) that you have purchased. If the other cd is giving you the same error message, return the cd player to the store, because it is defective.
3. Ensure that the disc you are using is not a DVD disc. It is easy to confuse the two.
Hope that helps! Good Luck!
