Question about GE 46GW945 46" Rear Projection Television

Beep My GE 46GW945 was on and suddenly the picture went out and the TV started beeping. Slow and steady. I took off the back panel looking for a reset but did not see one. It sounds like the beep is comming from one of the cards. Pls help.

There are no cards inside this set its stand up printed circut boards as this is not a computer.. the cards are not replaceable as they are fixed to componet level.. if your not a experienced tech Do not attemt to repair or tinker with this set as you can be seriously [email protected] Call a pro to assist you with this repair as there are no user replaceable parts inside this set. good Luck

Yes look at panel on one of buttons you should see *beep hold in till you hear it beep .

New gateway dx4840 lga1156 core i3 and I get a steady beep sound. not a beep code. even with everything disconnected

I had that happen before when my RAM went bad. I think I shorted it out by not having it clicked in all the way, I don't remember. Maybe try swapping some RAM out one at a time and see what happens. Make sure the RAM is also in its right spots (like if you have 4 slots there is one in slot 1 and not in slot 3) I hope this helps.

Why does my GE 46GW945 46 in.TV turn on and then right back off?

this is weak power distribution throughout the unit. you wil need to test the power supply board for blown capacitors and resistors as well. replace this vital board if you notice any swollen or disscolored componets.

Oven comes on for no reason followed by the start beep

yes you can kill the power and lock out the box with a pad lock for safety. the panel is attached by screws usually on the bottom of panel. lower and seperate the control panel ribbon from the erc (electronic range control). without removing any other components leave ribbon loose and replace panel. turn power back on. if the beeping does not recur, the control panel probably has a stuck key. if it does resume the erc is faulty

The first thing to check is the connections to your source. They can easily become loose and/or corroded over time.

YOU'VE LOST VERTCAL DEFLECTION---THIS COULD BE SOME PARTS IN THE VERTICAL SECTION BAD,,LOST A VOLTAGE GOING TO THE CIRCUIT OR WORST CASE ----FLUID FROM THE PICTURE TUBES HAVE LEAKED ON THE CIR BOARDS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM---NEED TECH FOR THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU HAVE A BAD CONVERGENCE IC ON THE CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT BOARD-THIS PART CAN BE REPLACED ,SAVING SOME MONEY,,COULD ALSO BE A LOOSE CONNECTION ON THE IC...PROBABLLY NEED TECH ON THIS ONE --COST 'BOUT 100.00 TO 125.00!
