If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.A memory card reader is a handy device and are inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos offyour memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.
Try using other card reader. There might be a problem on the card reader you first insert your memory card. If you are using these on your camera or mobile phone, try connecting the camera or mobile phone directly to the computer with the memory card inserted.
you can recover pictures from sd card with SD Card Recovery Software like asoftech photo recovery, the card recovery software not only recover photos, but also videos, music files and other files. download the software from SD Card Recovery Software
That "5 in 1 card reader" is exactly what it says it is: a UNIVERSAL CARD READER. All you have to do is to insert the card into the slot and the machine will detect it automatically and will read it. The microSD cards should be inserted first into a microSD card adapter and after that the both should be inserted into the slot. As for downloading music right on the microSD card do like this: # insert the microSD card into its adapter [together should look like a regular SD card] # insert the adapter into the slot # the machine will detect the SD card [just wait until it is detected] # choose your song [mp3, wma etc.] # right-click on the song and where it asks whre to be downloaded you will choose MY COMPUTER > double-click > the letter corresponding to your SD card. You're done! Do the same with all songs.
GOOD LUCK! ... and don't forget to RATE, please...
You must install special software that came with the camera to up load pictures to a computer with the cables that came with the camera. The detail is covered in the manual of which a copy can be down loaded from http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/olympus_SP-800UZ-Manual.pdf
A quick method of using the SD memory card in your camera to shoot pictures on, and then removing the card from the camera, plug it into a card reader attached to your computer. You also can insert the SD card directly into your printer if that printer has "PICT-BRIDGE". That means that the printer has a card reader built in. Many newer Lap Tops have a card reader built in. You may also attach a card reader by USB connection to your computer.
In any event all of the above are covered by the manual.
Take a can of air and blow some into the slot to make sure dust or dirt isn't getting the way of that reader trying to read the sd cards.
If you still get the same message try another SD card in that reader or try to see if another computer will read your SD card, if another computer will read the SD card and the slot still won't recognize the sd cards properly, then you know at that point the reader is bad. If the reader is bad, thats integrated into the motherboard so the motherboard would need to be replaced.
If you are attempting to transfer photos off an SD card in your camera and you are connecting your camera directly to your PC then you may want to get an external SD card reader as this is a fairly common problem and an external reader should solve it.
If you are already using a card reader I would think that the cables connecting the reader to your computer are defective. To test this try connecting your card reader to a different USB port, if it functions fine then you know the problem is with the previous port you were connecting too.
ALSO, check in "my computer" and see if it registers as a removable drive there. If not, then check in the device manager while the card is inserted and look for any yellow icons. There is a chance that the card reader need a driver installed or updated.
Your Minolta camera uses file format, which is not recognized by PC and vice verse. When you insert, PC can't read it, and asks to format. But when it is formatted for PC, your camera can't read it. Try to format it in camera, if it's not possible, then get a new memory card and use USB cable to copy images.
Vista. Problem has been resolved. Had to download drivers.
