Not finding DIRECT resonating numbers here in USA...
but similar MAINBOARDS here are as low as $55
guaranteed (no worries: principles remain the SAME).

I do not think switching your sources is that
CONVENIENT... I would suggest you FIRST
attempt to follow your manufacturer's manual
(at the bottom of this paragraph).

I will further complicate your concerns: HOT SWITCH
of your LIVE video CABLES is typically rewarded by
frying the mainboard associated with that particular
video input:

Shut ALL power down... Configure your cable
(d'jour) and restore the POWER

Even COLD CABLE connections OUGHT be
considerate of (ESD) Electro-Static Discharge
concerns...

The slightest STATIC spark (you might not even
feel) is capable of destroying a SEMICONDUCTOR.

Simple protection: $6 anti-static WRIST-BAND
owned by every (competent) technician in the
INDUSTRIAL Electrons field...
(not meaning your average SEARs home repair)

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

had this problem for a while only just found the cause, its either your tuner flipped out which means you just neded to retune the tv and it should be fixed if not that there was this setting i found still not sure what it is or means but you could select these letters i think there was S, BG and some other ones but i changed it to the top one which was BG and it fixed the static sound with the clear picture problem just stuff around with the channel settings and see if you have that setting hope that helped

Please feed again cable channels in TV by selecting Auto Search / channel preset in TV Menu.
This will update channel data stored in TV memory.

i think this is a known problem....some guy in phoenix is selling a bunch of these returned tv's from SEARS with the same problem for $150.00 try to return it.

There was hum when I first turned the TV on, then I followed these instructions (found it from other review) to fix the hum issue:
1. Turn tv on
2. Input mode should be tv
3. Turn volume to zero
4. With remote enter 9 8 7 6
5. A menu will appear on left side
6. Arrow down to backlight and with right arrow key move number from 81 to 83, press menu button twice,
7. Turn up volume and listen if hum is gone."
It works,no hum."

Mike, before you decide to pony up the money for the hdtv take the thirteen inch set in and connect it to the same coax cable that is currently connected to the set with the audio issue. If you have clear audio the issue is definitely with the set. If not try replacing the coax connectors behind the wall plate, the barrel in the wall plate, and the coax from the wallplate to the tv. I am curious if the audio is clear when playing a DVD, VCR or Xbox? Hopefully we can isolate the problem. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Your problem is somewhere between the tuner and video detector circuit. The signal entering your TV carries: video,red color,and blue color as well as sychronizing pulses for color and horizontal and vertical deflection ( actually vertical sync. is derived from horizontal sync.) along with burst pulses to synchronize the color. After all these, the sound is an fm signal entwined with a pilot signal for stereo audio. WHAT a mess! After the audio passes through all this, it is detected and sent to the audio processor. If any frequency has drifted away from it's value then you loose the sound. SO... your problem could be in any of the tuned circuits or in the audio processor IC (chip). Any component changing value could creat this problem. Most likely the audio processor IC. You'd need to have the set checked out by a tech to find your problem. Stargazer

Unplug the tv set for 30 seconds, plug back in and turn set on. if this does not return your audio you need and you're NOT still under warrantee you should at least open the TV and check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace good luck
