Buttons on TV or remote not working. Can only cycle through video input options.
The only button that works properly is on/off button. None of the buttons on the TV itself work. A few (volume, channel up/down) buttons on the remote cause the TV to cycle through the video input options, but do nothing else. No other buttons work. I can do nothing but turn the TV on/off and cycle through the video input options.

If you do not have the remote control for your Sanyo DP50747 TV, you can try using the buttons on the TV itself to set it up. Here are the steps to follow:
Locate the power button on the TV. This is usually a round button with the power symbol (a circle with a line through it) or a triangle with a line through it. Press the power button to turn on the TV.
Locate the input button on the TV. This is usually a square button with the input symbol (a rectangle with an arrow pointing into it) or a button labeled "Input" or "Source". Press the input button to cycle through the available input options (e.g. HDMI, AV, etc.).
Once you have selected the appropriate input, you should see the setup screen for your TV. Use the arrow buttons on the TV to navigate through the menus and select the options you want to change (e.g. language, time zone, etc.).
To save your changes, look for a button labeled "Menu" or "Options" on the TV and press it. This will bring up the main menu, where you can select the "Save" or "OK" option to save your changes.
Note: If you are unable to navigate through the menus using the buttons on the TV, you may need to use a universal remote control or purchase a replacement remote for your TV.
Find the button that relates to the input you want to view. IE "video" "composite" "s-video"
Or simply try any of the input buttons until the picture returns.
Also try simply hitting the VGA button again.
If none of that works, please let me know the model number of the tv and the input sources you are trying to view.
Here is the manual for your remote. You need to plug your DVD directly into the A/V ports using the proper cable. See page 4 and 5 for hookup diagrams. Then once your TV is on, push the TV input on the remote and select A/V option. If your DVD is on, you should see some sort of input. Your remote is not programmable. Direct TV, Dish, etc could be programmed to your TV, DVD, and etc. http://media.datatail.com/docs/manual/174203_en.pdf
There are a couple of ways to cycle through the inputs on the KP-65WV600. The front panel TV/Video button will cycle through the inputs. (This is near the bottom of the button cluster between the Volume - and Flash Focus buttons.) On the original remote, you use also use the TV/Video button; it's above the 1 in the number pad section of the remote. For a third party remote, you will need to find the code that will enable a Source or Input button to cycle through the inputs on the TV.
These are shown in the manual which is available from the product support page: https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=KP65WV600&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . (This is the Manuals, Specs, Warranty tab.) The direct link to the manual is currently https://docs.sony.com/release//KP65WV600.PDF . See page 14 (page 15 of the PDF) for the front panel buttons; see page 48 (49 of the PDF) for the remote control buttons.
Ok the brand of the tv is not as relevant as the particular model number as each set varies. generically speaking without having to ask you for more information, some tv set allow you to access auxiliary inputs without a remote by pressing a combination of buttons or repeatedly pressing the channel up or down button until the inputs are cycled. A lot of set also allow you to navigate through inputs by the menu, a menu is often accessible by buttons on the set. If none of these options are avaliable try contacting your tv manufactor and asking how to navigate the inputs Witout the remote, which keep in mind is highly possible that you may not be able to do so. Consider replacing the remote with a universal remote.
good luck and thanks

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. It sounds like you are going to need to change your TV back to the proper input or channel. If the TV remote is not working to change the channels you can also use the buttons on the front of the TV. First look for a button listed as either input, TV/video, source or AUX. When you press this button it will start cycling through all the inputs available, make sure to cycle through them slowly because it make take a couple seconds for the picture to come in. If you do not find a picture on any of the inputs you are going to need to try the different channels. Normally for a TV where the receiver box is the TV should be set to channel 3 or 4. Once you have found your DISH Network picture you will want to make sure to push the SAT button on the DISH remote so that it doesn't change the TV channel again. I hope you find this information useful and if you have any further questions or concerns please let me know. Thanks. :)
Try to see if any of these four methods will work. Sanyo TVs 1. Press VIDEO MODE or TV/VIDEO button in front panel or on remote 2. Press MENU , choose FEATURE SETUP, then choose either VIDEO MODE or TV/AV, select VIDEO or AV 3. Press TV/AV or INPUT SELECT on remote 4. Press SETUP, choose TV/AV, switch to AV
Tries the channels + or - buttons a couples times on the tv manual controls buttons on the tv.U will get in the input option. This solution work for many tvs don't the input option on their universal remotes, without the original remotes.Ur tv don't know.
Video input source is changed by the buttons: 1. Video Source 2. Input 3. TV/Video 4. Source
one of those four on the remote some where.
Also, chances are your TV itself will have one of those buttons somewhere. Usually pressing it will either cycle through the inputs or bring up a selection of them, which is usually navigated by either arrow buttons on your remote or the channel up and down keys. Lemme know how it goes.
