Question about Compaq Presario R3310US (829160642062) PC Notebook
Hi, I inherited a Compaq Presario R3410US. The only problem it has is that the little pin that is used to connect the charger cord to the motherboard has broken off. It appears that this is directly connected to the motherboard. Do I have to replace the entire motherboard, or is there some service somewhere that can solder it to my motherboard? I still have the original pin that was inside of the charger jack. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Im not sure what pin your talking about so, let me give you to answers, If Got a good friend with a steady hand, who's good with computers, and a solder iron?, take it to him, if not, take it to a excellent (and i mean EXCELLENT) computer store, and see if they can take apart your laptop, and solder the peice back on. but, if this is the male connecter, that you actully plug the power adapter into, id it the pin inside the hole, then you'll need a new motherboard
