Hello just got a Netbook Pro off of ebay. I put batteries in and charged it and it won't start up when I open it. Nor does it start by pressing escape. Soft reset does nothing. Hard reset brings up the Netbook Pro splash screen and a status bar suggesting Os is being loaded. When the status bar ends the machine just shuts off again and once again cannot be restarted by opening or (esc) Key. Please advise. Thanks in advance!
Go to netBookPro boot menu as follows: Whilst the splash screen comes up insert a paperclip in the tiny reset hole near the enter key, then press Ctrl + D +Esc(On). Now the netBookPro boot menu should come up, then select the option : !) Clean start main OS (just press Shift +1). Now you should get a reboot with the initial OS-settings. I experienced the same problem after running xclkcfg.exe (an overclock utility for the Sigmarion III ) so best stay away from this utility. have fun Rob.

my husband bought a psion netbook pro from ebay and it had NO ac adaptor with it, so we bought one from radio shack... now we press the escape "on" button and NOTHING ! omgosh..... what do i do? please help : ((
I tried the fix below (or maybe above -- Ctrl+D+Esc), and it still goes back to a blank screen once it starts the original restart. On the rare occasion that the desktop DOES show, the device quickly freezes up so that no soft reset will work.
