Panasonic Digital Video NV DS30. Only had it for about a year and a half. Now wont record or play back at all. Change from battery to mains makes no difference. Tried head cleaner but wont actually move the tape sothats no help.
The power light flashes on and off...does this mean something?
The manual is no use and wil cost price of a new one to take back to shop.
As you may realise Im no expert in this field. Anyone out there able to help a novice? I live near Glasgow so if there is any close repair shop thats good and not ridiculously expensive that may be nice too.
Heres hoping for help from the wide yonder.

when the light flashes it means that there is an error definetly.
turn the menu button on off position first and remove the battery.
reinsert battery and turn on recording mode.
Try to remove the tape and reinsert it and see if the operating light is clear.
