The tv is about two and a half years old and has not been moved since it was new. The red and blue convergence seems to be working fine. The green, which is non-adjustable, now has an ark to it instead of being nice and straight.

Re: green projector alignment
Convergence IC'c have three amps inside them. The green is fixed but still has convergence correction . Each IC uses the extra channel for the green. So if you are not a tech ask the repair person how much it will cost to replace both IC's. Remeber a TV set is not a place for an experimenter or a handi person, unless you want to get seriously killed!! Good Luck

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments, have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures look alike? The tv convergence board is dead. The tv convergence board must have replace the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv convergence board to solved the tv convergence picture problems. The shop, will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
this is called convergence.
the set should normally have a function in the menu to adjust/reset this.
it sound like either the mirror in the tv is warped or the green lamp is out of alignment.
if the convergence in the menu doent work then its a service job.
The fix is to replace the two Convergence IC's( STK392-110's) with STK392-150's. They are located to the right side of the chassis and mounted to large heat sinks. Be also on the look out for some burnt resisters and or discolored resistors that failed becuase of the IC's failing. These would be located just to the left of the heat sinks. If they are burnt or severly discolored, you will need to replace them with the exact valued resistors. In this high current circuit it is a must.
I hope this helps,
With most rear projections there is usually an alignment to do with the set up with your TV. This is so the red, blue and green projectors align together to give the correct colouring. This sounds to me what may be causing the outlining of the blue. This can also make it seem off colour. Look in the set up menu of the tv and see if you can find this alignment feature. Usually a cross will appear and you move a blue, red, and green cross with the arrows on your remote to align over the original white one.
If this does not work, it may also mean that one of your projectors, that is the red, blue or green one may be failing causing the off colouring. Hopefully this alignment may fix it for you.
According to the manual:
1) go to the "TV Main Menu"
2) Select "Screen"
3) Select Adjust Projection TV (obviously only if a projection TV).
This then allows you to adjust the TV's 3-colors. Selecting GREEN CENTERING brings up a control panel that lets you center the green projection tube on the screen. Selecting RED CONVERGENCE or BLUE CONVERGENCE lets you align the Red & Blue projector tubes. Centre the green projector tube 1st. Then adjust the red & blue until the test pattern on the TV screen appers white.
Your tv is crt-based and is out of convergence. In other words,
the settings for keeping the Red, Green and Blue images aligned have
drifted and must be reset. This is common with CRT projectors and
CRT rear projection tvs.
Refer to your owners manual for instructions on re-aligning it.
