I have a 27" RCA built in Oct 92, Model #F26051EM. The picure has a strange shape. It is narrow at the top. It comes in about 3" on both sides.
I just purchased it used so I do not know the history of the set. Can the picture problem be fixed and how?

Its more than likely the FL231 fuse has blown due to carcked solder joints on the flyback. very famous issue with that model if the auto convergence feature is no longer listed under the setup menu then you will need the convergence option missing repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com
First determine what the hose is used for. Does it cary water, fuel, air (vacuum), brake fluid, or something else? That will narrow down the system that it is used for. Some hoses are a standard size and shape, while others are preformed into a special shape. Using this information, you should be able to narrow down the hose and find it in a repair manual or see a picture of it from an online parts supply.
You can also take a picture of it and post it in a forum that is devoted to your vehicle's make and model.
check for cold solder joints around the flyback transformer and a open pico type fuse very close to it. they are rectangle in shape and ususually the one in the middle of the three is the culprit. The problem is in the pincushion circuit
