Question about Creative Labs Zen Touch MP3 Player
Hold the Zen in your hand, and with your thumb, press down on the face board as hard as you can. Use your other hand's finger to scroll up or down on the touch pad. Press down different areas of the face board until you find a spot that, when pressed, causes the touch pad to work. Then, using both of your thumbs, press that spot VERY hard until the touch pad works without pressing.

Replace the module is the best solution but where can we get the replacementes??

How where you able to replace it. I too have the same problem with mine and i tried contacting creative repair with them saying i am not eligble for it since i have had it for too long. Is it hard to get a touchpad and where can i find one?

Click Start/Control Panel and
look for the Mouse and open it to check the mouse properties. Make sure
you don't have the touchpad disabled.
Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad on or off by clicking on the
button that is located at the top of the touch pad in the middle.
Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad by tapping twice in the upper
left hand corner of the touchpad.
Some models will require a keystroke to toggle the touchpad. Press and
Hold the ALT or FN function key located at the lower left portion of the
keyboard, then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The correct key to
hit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square that represents the
touchpad.
Download and reinstall the touch pad drivers.
Get online and got to
www.google.com In the google search box type: "HP Support"
(without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look
for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when
requested. Download and install the Touchpad drivers.

Same exact problem: All buttons work, except the touch pad. How do you find a new touch pad and replace it?
same problem: touchpad doesn't work. everything else works but since i can only play the one cd i'm stuck on, i really want this fixed!
I have the same problem. The strange thing is that I opened the Zen Touch and the touchpad worked for a while and then blocked again. It is possibly a problem of contacts but I don't have any idea on how to solve the problem definitively.
