Error with memory card

I have recently bought a 512MB Fujifilm XD-Picture Card for my digital camera, which was the type recommended in the instructions manual. When I first inserted it and tried using it, it worked well for 4 or 5 photos. Then, suddenly every time I tried taking a picture, it would take the picture, and then immediately afterwards, the words 'Write Error' would appear, and I have had this problem with every photo I have tried to take since. I would be grateful for help on this matter. Thankyou.

When this happened to me, I accidentally bought a "type M" card and was told my camera was not compatible with it. I simply went to Fuji's website at www.fujifilmusa.com and upgraded my camera to be able to use this card (of course this would only work if you have a Fuji camera as well as the card)Go to "support & contact center-Digital Camera software & support" at the top of the screen. Select your camera and it will walk you thru the rest. I'd love to hear if it worked out for you.

Is olympus xd -picture card, type m+ 2gb compatable with camera Fujifilm Finepix.

XD cards are now obsolete memory cards. The cards were developed by Olympus and Fujifilm and released during the summer of 2002. There is now an adapter that allows an SD card to be used in place of the XD card You need to remember that the capacity should not exceed 2 GB or the camera will not be able to accept it. As far as I know cameras accepting XD cards were last produced in 2007, I don't know what specific models however the camera specifications would show what type card it uses.

Xd memory card

A card access error may indicate that an xD-Picture Card memory card is in a write-protected condition. xD-Picture Card memory cards have a special protection feature to ensure that your pictures are kept safe. NOTE: During this condition, you can still use the printer for printing and saving photos from the xD-Picture Card to a secure location, such as the computer hard drive. To resolve this error, try the following:
  • Reinsert the xD-Picture Card memory card into your camera and turn on the camera. In most cases, the camera automatically makes the necessary changes.
  • Reformat the xD-Picture Card memory card. See the documentation that came with your camera for instructions on reformatting the memory card. Note that this process erases the pictures currently saved to your memory card. To save these pictures, transfer them to the computer before reformatting the memory card. Once you reformat the memory card, transfer those photos back to the memory card using the computer.
