Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS320 32" TV
I tried shaking the TV a little bit and the power went back on and then shuts off in several minutes. I removed the cover of it and desturb the wirings gently with a none conductive wood and it went back on. So it appears to be working in proper but then it a few minutes it shuts off again. I can no longer open the back of the TV again and again since the TV set is extremely heavy. What should I do?
Yes i agree with pavin but let the tech know that you know is a cold solder or varius cold solder, that will help you in the price of the repair, you can say this to him,"look at the circuit board closely for cracked solder joints. Resoldering any bad joints will solve the problems"...good luck

If the set switches ON when you shake it, or shake some wires inside (after opening the back cover) then in all likelihood you have a 'dry' or 'cold' solder. These are not easy to track, and so best left to a professional technician. call for a service tech.

SOURCE: Sony TV power and volume not working
Since remote does not work, try taking out batt and turning on by set. See if still turns up. It could be that the up button is jammed inside set. Does everything else works? See if you can go to menu and turn speakers off, this will allow you to work on set and not worry about noise.

SOURCE: TV appears to be on standby and will only stay on for a few seconds before turning off
Replace batteries and check again. Seems battery is down in remote.
