If you dont hear a click theres a problem in the standby power supply. if you do hear a click theres a problem in the Main power supply or sweep supply. Get a good tech to look at this for you if your not a tech. Good Luck

hello,usually the cause in jvc tv is, a bad contacts on the vertical chip leges. you should solder those contacts. another option is to change the vertical chip . more rare is a missing of the 27v voltage that goes to the chip. in that case you should check the port of the high voltage transformer. good luck!
In a large number of failures with these symptoms it's usually the HOT (horiz. output trans. Q522, which is a 2sd2499) and the regulator (Str30134), together with fuse F902 (Gma 1.25a). Not an expensive repair or that complicated if you're fairly good with electronics and know how to solder correctly. Otherwise take it in and have it repaired professionally - it's worth it...
