Question about Toshiba 43A10 43" Rear Projection Television

2 Answers

Toshiba 43a10 Had a power drop... lights dimmed them came back up...enough that the computer shut down and the tv went off. When the tv came back on, i have sound but no picture. I isolated the cable and that's not it. All other tv's work fine on cable. Kid's played with it in the past and had no picture but when I used the toshiba remote (instead of cable remote) I could see menus. No menus, no nothing. Plenty of sound, but no picture.

This problem could be the vertical circuit falure, the sweep circuit falure or the video circuit has a fault. Depending on the age of the set will determine on how much you would spend to have this set repaired. Call out an authorized Toshiba servicer, as they would be able to give you a better estimate as they already or should already have the service manual and parts. Good Luck

The other night the headlights dimmed and the air pressure blowing out the vents dropped in pressure. This lasted for aprox 20-30 seconds then went back to normal. Well today I pulled in to get a soda

The dimming lights and fan speed sounds like a loss of power from the alternator, but could also have been a drop in engine speed.
You might want to have the computer checked for trouble codes even tho the warning light did not come on.
It could also be the alternator is failing.

No picture

you can't fix this yourself unless you arnt affraid to open it up and do a little bit of soldering

the best thing to do is to find someone locally that will fix it for you

usually somepeople that work at home are cheaper than the proper repair companies

Have a model 43A10 toshiba tv, has a purple color at very bottom of screen about inch tall. When i go into the menu, looks like writing is not lined up on the lower options of the menu. and partly up...

you either have a color purity problem or a convergence problem. purity can be effected by electro magnets in power supplys of audio amps and subwoofers too close to the tv

Convergence is the ability of the red green blue to drop on top of each other. can usally be adjusted via remote control. Please claify and repost.
