Arm blades not spinning.

It was moved from one home into another, on it's side. Worked at last house. Now after installation into new house, it appears like the arm blades will not rotate. The copper water tube is warm to the touch, as is the plastic water hose. When cancelling, warm water comes up the air/drain on top of the sink top. Any idea what the issue could be?

kenp, did the repairman check the screen where the chopper is located? If this screen becomes clogged with gunk, water will be restricted going to the center arm and you will either have slow or no roatation. He would of had to remove the lower spray arm, filter and accumulator assy. to get to this. I had one the other day with the exact same problem and the chopper screen was plugged completely. If your dishwasher is not working right, you have 1 year warranty, parts and labor. You have a case for them to come back. back

SOURCE: Upper spray arm does not

Welcome to FixYa.

There likely is a blockage in the filter/screen and chopper assembly below in the sump well, it's just not obvious/visible. The place to look for a remedy is the wash pump area, you`ll need to follow these steps to clean it.

1 ) Remove the turbo wash tube if applicable to your model, it pulls off, i.e.

2 ) Spray arm removal. hold the center nut and spin the arm.
3 ) Now you can remove the upper spray arm supply tub or referred to sometimes as "rear feed cap".
a ) lift to depress the rear tab, i.e.
b ) Then twist the feeder to the right ( clockwise ), i.e.
4 ) Now you can remove the center nut...

Then remove the four # 20 torx head screws holding the filter in place, and lift the filter out.

Below the filter you`ll find food debris, undissolved detergent etc, but also a cover with a single #10 torx head screw to remove and the cover will pull straight up and out. the arrows from left to right in the image indicate...

1) screw location
2) tab to pull up on
3) the latch you may need to twist to the left to remove the cover
Now you should see the chopper and screen assembly, it too can be clogged up pretty bad, clean it best you don`t really want to remove this part.

If my explanation is not clear enough, here`s a link which provides a pretty good video of how to do this, these guys aren`t pro`s but the "how to" video is pretty thorough nonetheless.

Let me know how you make out, please keep me informed if you need further assistance or anything is unclear.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

95 Isuzu rodeo only one wiper blade working

if you mean only one wiper arm is moving then it could be a striped spline where the arm fastens to the wiper transmission and it just spins because it can`t grip the arm. it could also be a broken wiper transmission arm or disconnected lock for the arm that connects both sides together.

Wiper blade stands up in the middle. Push it down but it pops back up when you turn it on?

check and adjust the blade length. Ensure that in installing the new blades that you used the right sort as if the grooves in the blade or too tight on the arm clips this problem will result. The blade has to move freely in the arm clips

My car window wiper is hitting off the side but it is the right size and isn't loose?

has been moved or the one fitted is bigger that the one it was originally set to. take the cap off the wiper arm and undo the nut. then wiggle the wiper blade arm until it comes off. then put back on and leave an inch gap from bottom off the window to the wiper. tighten the nut up and check that it works ok without going over any of the rubbers on the winds screen. if it does re do it and lift it a bit more up. then it should be fine after driving over 30mph then.

My S107g worked great for a week but then the top blade just stopped moving. The lower blade is spinning away and the top one sits there limp. What's going on?

well firstly you still have warranty on it, get them to replace it..

the blades are controlled by a motor and a gear system in the helicopter itself. The gear is broken or the motor is wedged in by the gear. or simply burnt out, You will need to open it to unwedge the gear and if it spins when you turn the gear, you need to replace the motor. Both blades use separate motors that's what allows it to trim (turn) when one set spins faster than the other, It goes straight when both blades spin at the same speed.

1992 Evinrude Motor will start but when put in forward or reverse the propeller will not move

If it runs OK leave the carbs alone- You need to start with the final drive and prop condition. Put it in gear and step on the prop blade to try and turn it. (sometimes you need to try and force it backward from the gear its in due to the engineering of the clutch dogs.

The results of this can tell you a lot. First if the prop spins freely- you have a broken shear pin in the propeller (older units),

if it spins smoothly but with drag- you may have damaged the rubber hub of the prop. Mark the inside part of the prop (the hub) and the blade section and try again- check the marks to see if the prop is wrecked (if they don't move from one another your OK.

Next drain the lower oil and look for metal, and water contamination (looks like mayonnaise) If full of metal, the gears and clutch dog are trashed,

Last and worst of the catastrophic is if the splines in the crank and drive shaft are broke. The water pump will not work if this is the problem.

The easier stuff is a stretched or broken control system. Easy test is -if on a cable/ release the cable and manually shift it. If it shifts you work on the control box and cables if it is not shifting check the connector to the lower unit. If early style evinrude, it is hiding behind one or 2 covers on the stb side mid way down the intermediate housing. In side will be a brass duble bolted connector. Shift again and watch the connector. If it isn't moving. the problem is under the power hed, if it is moving the problem is in the clutch yoke or arm that moves it. (Common mistake when the pivot pin/phillips screw ahead of the drain screw is mistakenly removed as a drain vent.)

Broken fan blade on the 697400 humidifier

Hay Richard -- Little suckers spin to fast for gluing. Take the fan blade off , mark one side before you remove it ex: put an x on the side that is facing the wall. Take blade to a Johnstone supply house. Should be one near you somewhere, they are national. The guys there are usually very good at matching up fan blades. Make sure you keep the one you have with the mark on it. When you get home install the new blade the with the side out that was on the old blade. Hope that helps
