The lazer unit won't raise up.

When I insert a disc and close the disc drawer the lazer unit seems to be jamming. And the disc won't play in any of the five slots. I have checked the gear alinment and it is fine. What should I do?

Have you checked to see if the units laser assy is returning to home and when its trying to read a disc, is the lens moving up and down , trying to focus? Have you tryed to clean the laser lens? If you have done all this then your units most likly going to need a laser assy or a servo alighnment. If it has to go into A shop for repair, Im afraid it may not be worth it. GOOD lUCK

What does U1 mean when it appears on the pioneer cld v860 display window and the disc won't play?

It sounds like buy your details, That i will compliment you on, Are to the point not like some other people asking questions on hear, That the lazer is shot, End not reading the info off of the disc any more, It is verry costly to have it repaired, Just look for a different one, I have got good used ones for friends of mine for $7 to $30 at the most, From thrift stores or privately, Hope this helps you out.

Tray wont eject on samsung dvd-Vr375 vcr dvd combo

someone has to open the unit to see if something (a disc or something else) is jammed--mechanism could be jammed or out of alignment.

Often if the disc is jammed it can gently be moved to let the unit work again.

Jammed tray

Hi there, had a similar problem.
This unit is easy to open. the four screws on the sides and two i think on the back. When it is open you will have access to the discs in the machine. the last disc will probably be jammed between the facia and the caddy and will be impeding the carousel mechanism, once removed you should check the functions starting with eject, and again to cycle, load disc position 1 insert disc and check. this player i think rotated the disc on loading to a set position, would have to open one to check. hopefully the carousel is not out of sync and all is well.

Unit is not recognizing disk because of defective or dusty lazer pickup. It may also have defective disk motor. Have serviced

Make sure the disc is spinning. This might sound crazy but try turning the whole player upside down and see if it plays.
