Re: System not functioning
If the radio or the other functions dont work, then theres a system control problem or a power supply problem. Depending on nhow old this unit is, you may want to consider upgrading as this unit will have to go into a repair shop to trouble shoot. If you have had some solid state training or experience, and have a schematic and a multi meter its a good possibility you can find the problem.. Good Luck

i had exactly the same problem on a LG-RH278H resp. a Medion MD 81733. I solved it by opening the micoswitches, cleaning the contacts and streching the springs inside the switches a little. The Problem was, that one of the microswitches stayed conductive even when it was off/open.
I just solved this problem on my Ford Edge 2010. Start the dvd. Hit the FM button on the remote. It will pop up an FM radio frequency in the top left corner of the screen. For example, ours is 88.7. Tune the car radio to that frequency and the sound should come through the speakers. Hope it works for you.

the code for malata dvd player is 0782 but when i tried it didnt work. i used the code search method and it worked for me. the only problem i have is that the buttons are mixed up for example, the "menu" button opens the disk tray. so far this is the only way i could get it to work with the rca remote.
