Question about Epson Office Equipment & Supplies
I have a USB that has both the USB 1x and USB 2.0 on each end and I plugged both corresponding ends in and let the drivers install and then I put my computer in "Connect to a Projector" mode and the projector still said no signal when i was on ALL the sources. Please help me. This has been a 2 month problem for me. Also, if that simply won't work I have a 15-pin VGA female jack on my computer. So if the USB wont work do I have to gat a VGA to computer component cable?

Hi,
The USB port in the projector is only for Optional Mouse to srcroll down the menu of the projector. Its not ment for the Video connectivity. You have to use 15 pin VGA cable to interconnect the PC and the projector then only you will get the video.

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.
This sounds like the LCD panel used for the red color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the red panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image. This causes a nice red hue to the whole screen.
It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.

The likely cause is either dirty optics inside the projector or some of the special mirrors inside the optics are burned. If the projector was used a lot then the special mirrors are probably burned. If it's just dust on the optics the unit could be opened and cleaned but you might have to take it in to a repair place to have that done.
