Bad or missing lycra sys folder

Deleted the folder , copied folder from another player, still get the message, "bad or missing lycra sys folder." can this be restored another way? thank you , kc

Well My mp3 player holds 35 songs and I was downloading the songs fron I-Tunes,and Limewire and 1 time i was took the cord off the mp3 player one time to see if i downloaded those songs onto that ipod, but then when i put the cord back in the slot it just kept saying Bad or Missing

When I try to update the file, it says that my computer doesn't recognize any lyra hardware. How do I remedy this problem?

Go to RCA support http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/select.aspx?u=downloads and find your player and download the firmware and drivers (if needed) upgrade and install to your player its very easy and instructions are at the same site.

Formated RD1090A in XP now will not turn

Try this device using windows 7....if theres any problems with your divice windows 7 fixes them...you need no drivers at all..windows 7 really improved this device

If you have a computer with windows 7 all ur problems will be solved....just plug it in and windows 7 will fix the problems....but one thing it will only run well on 7 so think about changing

How to solve pci.sys error during reformating of the hard drive

You have two ways to solve the problem of "Pci.sys Is Missing or Corrupt"
Error Message When You Start Windows.

1.Booting with WinXP CD to access the Recovery Console’s Repair option,
and then copy from WinXP CD the missing or damaged Pci.sys file to
Systemdrive:\Windows\System32\drivers folder , Exit and Reboot.

start the recovery console and type:
set AllowAllPaths = true
expand d:\i386\pci.sy_ c:\windows\system\drivers32 /y
If you don't type
set AllowAllPaths = true you can't access the windows folder.

2. Booting with WinXP CD and then perform a Windows XP Repair Reinstall
of the currently installed system.

If you need detailed assistance post with details of your Operating system
[WinXP Home vs WinXP Pro and the SP status i.e SP1 or SP2 ]

goto the rca website and find the latest firmware for your player and download it and reload the firmware that should get everything back to factory defaults

I delete lys.sys folder from my lyra, where can I get the from?

Just Google the internet with "RD2840 firmware download", download the firmware upgrade .exe file, and follw the instructions in upgrading the firmware of it.

Part of the proces is to restablish all the necessary files.

Dear FixYa,
Ohms was helping me, I am guessing that he tried to download some info for the fix.
However, because we have pony express dial-up the material was never fully sent.
Help ! My mp3 is my link to success in triathlons ( got one this sat) I am sunk without the support. Again the error message reads "bad or missing lyra sys folder"

PS Is there a physical address that could put humpdy dumpdy back together again in the SLC or Ogden area.
