In top load washers, if the machine goes through the cycles and then just stops at the spin cycle and leaves you with no noise and a tub full of water more than likely the lid switch is bad and not completing the circuit for cycle to continue. This is a safety precaution to prevent injury by reaching in the machine while at high speed spin. If the machine is getting to the spin cycle and still turning slowly but not draining the water, the pump is probably the culprit, either being locked up or in most cases something like a sock, etc. is stuck in it preventing it from turning. This is usually indicated by a humming sound during the spin/drain section with no water draining.
Quick silly question(s) ;-0)
Are you selecting the right program? Wool is spun fairly slowly and the speed would not be fast enough for normal garments. If you have selected the right program(s) for the particular garments, I would immediately contact the vendor/supplier as the machine is under guarantee, I presume.
Did they install and test it?
No idea why but it happens to us to. You need to cancel the wash, switch off and leave a few mins then retry, not that it may work.
Now the spin cycle has stopped on ours too plus the spin is not actually working, drum is just going round and round slowly! We've had it just over a year so the guarantee has finished too :-(
Does water remain in the machine at the end of the wash cycle? Does the water pump run when it is supposed to? If not, the pump may be jammed with debris or the motor is defective. Can you drain the water by lowering the drain hose to floor level and into a bucket or pan? Does this allow the spin cycle to proceed? It is normal for the machine to test for spin balance (it will agitate further if it is not balanced). Hope some of this helps!
Check motor capacitor first.Try moving the drum and see there is no extra friction. If your washer has got braking mechanism check the brakes also. ( I have no idea about this model regarding break)
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
your lid switch is broken you need to replace it look on the lid of the unit you will see a plastic pin that pushes down on thwe switch when it closes there are 2 screws holding the switch in place but you will have to remove the cabniet to change the switch
