I lost power for a short time yesterday. When I went to power up my pc, my moniter will not turn on. From inside the case there is a constant beeping. Everything is plugged into a surge protector. Is my moniter fried or what? I tried another outlet with the same results. Please help. Thanks, Keith

Try powering on laptop what happens do you hear any beeps or see any lights normally if u see lights this is a sign that it is working if not your motherboard could be bad if you see lights and hear constant short beeps this means your memory can be bad, Try powering on laptop without battery and only power supply plugged in.
Question- the beeping, is it short (1 second beeps) or long (2 or more seconds) and how many before it stops? or doesn't it? does it have any rhythm? The beeps correlate to some hardware problem, if you want to check the beeps yourself, just google "Bios beeps" and it will bring up a table of what the beeps mean. J
