My Peugeot 206 radio won't work it lights up but

It is showing Error because of wrong codes entered previously.

To reset , leave SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself. It can take up to 24 hours...but normally it is only an hour or two.

If you require the correct code then the radio will have to be removed from the car dashboard .

Then please quote the MAKE + MODEL of your radio plus ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS on any LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.
Also confirm the MAKE of CAR it is fitted into.

Your code should be either 3728 or 1728, depending on whether your radio will accept a 1 or 0 as its first digit.

SOURCE: removing radio and get codefor peugeot 206

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc) 

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard in order to identify it (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number 

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
