I have a JVC TV and the time is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen and will not turn off. I have no remote. How do you turn this feature off?

My new sony xbr 55hx929 on occasion shuts itself off and comes back on within a second or two. shuts off to the point when it comes back on the sony logo on screen is displayed and in the upper left hand corner the input (hdmi 1) is shown follow by the program on tv.
Press Mode button to select TV. Then press the Display button. Set the Display to Off (choices are Detailed Mode, Clock, Simple Mode and Off). Pressing Menu should turn off the Display at any time.

There is strong magnetic field around the TV. This may be due to the tower speakers or any portable radio kept close by.
Re orient the TV try switching OFF / ON at the intervals of 30 minutes. The built in auto de-gauser will correct the problem. In cable TV program if the picture is OK, nothing wrong in the TV.
My Advent TV did the same thing. Blue Screen with a red lock in the upper left corner. Just press and hold the display button for about 10 seconds. It will clearn
First try, using the remote, pushing the display button until the display is turned off (three to four depressions on the remote display botton. Second try, unplugging the tv for at least 2 minutes then plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv if you have lost the original remote with the display bottton.
No you cannot! There is a switch on the convergence pnl for complete convergence. You can make things 10 times worse if you don't know what your doing.
There is no "display" option that I can find from the front panel.
