Looking for circuit diagram of convergence board for resistor ratings

Replaced convergence STK's as well as resistors. TV fired up with good picture for about 3 min. then flickered and I lost blue gun vertical adjustment. Pulled board out and one of the new resistors had failed. (could tell cause it was burnt and now I can tell what the rating was) Original resistors were good but have read that when you replace STK's it is a good plan to replace resistors. Unfortunately I did not save the old resistors. Any assistance greatly appreciated Brett

SOURCE: I had a convergence problem on my JVC AV-48WP30,

Yes, it does not happen often but you may have installed or got a new chip that is bad--you did apply heat sink compound to the new chips?

Check all the resistors carefully when you do this and double check all the soldering you do.

Toshiba tp50g90 projection tv, red flashing light won't turn on

FYI: WHOEVER told you 110 chips can be replaced with 120 chips is wrong.

Easy way at this point to way at this point to see if chips are the problem is to UNSOLDER AND REMOVE BOTH CHIPS. Make sure not shorted connections and power set up---set will function without the chips but look terrible.

Try Suburban Electronics for the correct chips----only safe replacement for them is the 150 chip----stk-392-110 and stk-392-120 are not interchangeable.

The blinking light indicates a short.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS AS I HAVE FIXED hundreds OF THESE SETS.

Convergence PROBLEM pHILLIPS mAGNAVOX 60" rEAR pROJECTION

Hi,

All i can say is that this is very common.May be it is not the convergence circuit in this case. it is the power supply not giving the convergence circuit the power it needs to run. there are several parts that need to be repalced here.

Or may be the convergence amplifiers need to be replaced. They're on the Small Signal Board (the one with the tuner[s] on it) and the part on the amp's (there are two on them, replace both) start with STK and will be followed by some numbers and pssosibly letters, such as STK392-110.

Goodluck,

Poor convergence on my 60"

It is very possible that the IC's were not installed correctly. Check and make sure you do not have any solder bridges on your pins, or that the solder pads did not pull up from the board. If all that looks good, check your resisters that are in circuit. It is possible that 1 or more was already week and popped when the new STK's were installed. Also as far fetched as it could be, you might have gotten defective parts though not likely. I hope this helped and good luck to you.

I have a hitachi 43FDX15B RPTV It appears to have a convergence problem, I've read about replacing the stk IC's but which resistors need to be replaced and what are the values on the DP15k/08 Board?

This model uses two of the STK-392-120 CHIPS and here are most of the usual resistors to suspect or check:

Hitachi AT03411S RK43 RESISTOR Hitachi AT03608S RP22 RESISTOR Hitachi AT03195S RK46,RK54, RK62 RESISTOR, 1.8OHM 1W Hitachi AT03857M R815,R865 RESISTOR, 1/2W 100 OHM Hitachi AT03191S RK50 RESISTOR, 1W 1.2 OHM Hitachi AT03197S RK50 RESISTOR, 1W 2.2 OHM Hitachi AT03199S RK41 RESISTOR, 2.7 OHM 1W Hitachi AT03202S RK42 RESISTOR, 3.3OHM 1W Hitachi AT03204S RK58 RESISTOR, 3.9 OHM 1 WATTThe RK ones are all marked on top and bottom of circuit board---usually if one is bad you will be able to see it is discolored---all are very low value and should read open or good only.

This is a fairly easy set to do this on---the whole convergence board (right side from the back view) is held in with 3 screws and an assortment of plugs--3 plugs are identical (convergence yokes and you need to mark so you get each back in same place)

A row of black snap plugs on the left side and with the screws and other plugs removed the board will lift up and out of the set.

DON'T waste your money on one of the "kits" being sold on the net---you can buy a pair of the chips for about 12 dollars on Ebay and usually only one (if any) of the resistors will be bad---those kits sound like a good idea but at 50-80 you are buying things you will not likely need to repair the set.

Let me know if you have any questions and if this information helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Power Light blinking 5 times

check the resistors near the
stk's. There are some reports that they get fried when the stk's fry....or the other way around. The resistor ratings are labeled on the resistors. 2.2, 82, 180 or something like that. Also check the board as you turn on the tv. See if any glow red.

Hitachi 43FDX11B television Ghosting

I had the same problem on my Hitachi rear projection TV 53FDX20B made in Mexico. The blue convergence problem. Blue focus had shifted and appeared like a blue ghost image. I followed the step by step intructions from the fixya site. First Replaced the two STK 392-110 ICs and turned on the tv. No change. Then I went looking for the bad resistor. There was one resistor RK50 (2.7 ohm, 1Watt capacity) which is attached not right close to the printed circuit board surface but was well raised up from the board. The bands on the resistor were a little discolored. I replaced that one and turned on the tv. The convergence problem was solved. Thanks for the step by step instrucitons on your site.

Only use the same part number when replacing convergence amps, or you will need to replace all of the power resistors with recommended values for the convergence amps subsituted.
