Question about Sony NW-A1000 MP3 Player
When i use the connect player i manage to get some music files onto the sony walkman NW-A1000 but then some of the music stays on in the library as i have 248 files in my librabry but only 126 on my walkman. My preferences are set to do a full sinq but its oviously nnoy doing this.i also have it set to just put all file types onto the walkman but this insn't helping. help!
firstly all the tracks you want must be converted into mp3 format. You can get hold off mp3 converter software such as Power and winlame. also all the tracks you want has to be imported into the Connect Player software. you should have a cd that comes with the player, it is similar to iTunes with the iPod. i think you can possibly download it from the sony website. when you have them both convert the tracks into mp3s and then import them into the Connect player. From Connect you will be able to transfer the music across. Hope it helps

SOURCE: Replacing Sony NW-A1000 battery
Using a pair of pliers grab the silver loop on the back of that player. This is pulled up and backwards at an angle. it is held on by an adhesive pad. Once that is off the back just slots off like many mobile phone backs. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

I had the same problem. One day my Mp3 started acting weird and said it was not recognizing the files and that i needed to re download them. Try plugging it up to your computer while its charging and hit the power off. Then reset your mp3 with the button at the bottom and it should recognize it.
