My seperate answering machine is set at detecing a call at 4. It has been this way since I bought it. I have reviewed the manuel several times to recheck the settings but it does not help or address this problem. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

My HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer has stopped receiving faxes. It is on a dedicated line set at two (2) rings. It does not recognize the incoming fax calls but will ring five timesand go dead. Regular phone calls to that number will ring in and if not answered, will go intomy voice mail. The ohone company has checked the line and insists the trouble is in the printer.
my hp dosent send and receie faxes
I have the same problem with my HP6110xi. I can receive a fax if I push the auto answer button when the distinctive double ring is coming in. The Auto Answer light is normally on. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for you help
I have a HP 6110xi printer that has stopped receiving faxes. It will send faxes just fine; but for some reason the incoming feature has stopped functioning. Nothing has changed in my setup nor is there anything else connected to the phone line that wasn't there when the receive was working. I checked the HP troubleshooting page; but as I am running Windows 98 there is no longer any support for my configuration. Anyone else in the same boat?
My printer will not receive incoming faxes. However, I am able to send faxes.
