Zen photo (8GB) won't go to main menu

My Zen photo comes on (after I dropped it), but it won't go beyond the first screen (Creative comes up). After I dropped it, it was still playing and continued playing for about 5 minutes then it stopped. The system makes a noise when I turn it on. It sounds similar to a busy signal, however, it is very quiet. My computer doesn't recognize when I have the USB cable connected either. Thank you, Gwen Schwab [email protected]

Looks like your hard drive has died. Try to hold the on switch while you turn it on. If you cannot solve it with that menu your hd has to be replaced

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

I have a creative zen 4 GB and i accidently dropped it on the pavment and it froze when i picked it back up i pressed the reset button to reboot it but after i did that it wont turn on i get the firmware...

1. Firmware [for your player]
Get a download from the support site and install:
this will put maps onto the device. Communication with the software
on the computer is available after getting the next item (2.) is done.

2. Application software [for the computer]
2.1 Creative Centrale (+ User Guide) is usefull to get songs on your Mozaic.
2.2 Windows Media Player 11 can be used as well. Note: You'll first have to make a playlist: Save the playlist: Next Synchronize it onto
the Zen.

3. Drag and drop
Once firmware is installed you can also use the drag and drop method. Move music, pictures, video inside maps on the computer into the corresponding map onto the player.

Creating playlists for Creative Zen MP3 player

Step 1 Turn your Creative Zen MP3 Player on and add music to its hard drive if you haven't already. Without music on your player, you won’t be able to select tracks for a playlist.
Step 2 Select "Music Library" from the Main Menu. The Main Menu should appear as the first menu when you turn your device on.
Step 3 Select "Now Playing" from the options available, then press the Options button.
Step 4 Select "Save as Playlist" from the list of options. This will save the tracks you have listed currently as a playlist that can be reloaded later.

My creative software for Zen Sleek Photo won't load on Vista

Vista by default will support the Zen Sleek Photo as an MTP device, which means that Windows Media Player will recognize it as well as Explorer.

You can use WMP to sync music to it, and Explorer to drag/drop photos to it.

you can tap the unit and see if you can get it to come back on but no there is no other way to get the info off a damaged drive unless you can get it to start.

Creative Labs Zen MicroPhoto (8GB) possible faulty USB Cable ????

When I had that problem on my Zen I un-installed all the software and rebooted my system and reloaded the software. Not sure why it worked but it did.
