Print too small

If you are using something like a BROWSER (IE, Chrome, etc) on the keyboard hold down CTRL and press ONCE the + button. Does this repeatedly until the font size is larger.

Please note this will NOT increase font on GRAPHIC text as those are set graphics and do not zoom.

For windows computers go to CONTROL PANEL and select APPEARANCE AND PERSONALIZATION

From there under DISPLAY select "Make Text and Other Items Larger or Smaller" Play with the settings within there until you get the font large enough for you to see.

I imported text from A Microsoft Word File in to Corel draw and saved the file, when i reopened thecorel file the fonts had all changed and it would not allow me to use the fonts I have used earlier in the...

1.) Did you paste the fonts into a text box in Corel? Sometimes this works better than importing.
2.) try to copy all of the text from Word and then paste into a text box in Corel
3.)Make sure you answer yes to the "maintain fonts and formatting" question when pasting text into text box in Corel
4.) After pasting text, Save the Corel file!

I ve lost all my fonts in corel. I tried to install a new font and all the fonts i have disapeared.

Hi there,
Most probably the problem is caused by the font list options.
Go to Text -> Font List Options or Tools -> Options -> Workspace -> Text -> Fonts
Once you're there play around with these options. The solution most probable to work is disabling "Show document fonts only"

I need to reduce the fonts in word processor

With the graphic capability of computers and printers today, there are many fonts to choose from when writing documents.
  • Important category that fonts can be divided into are:
    • Monospaced fonts: Monospaced fonts are fonts in which every character uses the same amount of horizontal space, like this sentence.
    • Proportionally spaced fonts: Proportionally spaced fonts (also called variable pitch fonts) use up only the amount of horizontal space that is required for the letter. Therefore, the letter W would take up more space than the letterI. Standard HTML text font, like this sentence (bad example for those unfortunate lynx users :-), is an example of this kind.
Using these kinds of fonts requires formatting to be done correctly. Aligning text should never be done by using spaces. Since character width varies with proportional fonts, assume that it will never line up correctly using spaces. It is possible that on the screen it looks perfect, but remember that the resolution a monitor provides is not even close to the quality that a laser printer can produce. Even if monospaced fonts are used, spaces should be avoided in the event that the font is changed to a proportional font later. Instead of using spaces, use tab stops, indentation markers, and other features to align text.
  • Fonts can also be divided into:
    • Scaleable: Scaleable fonts, such as the popular TrueType fonts, are rendered by applying a fancy mathematical algorithm to represent each character. This allows the fonts to be used at any point size with uniform quality. These fonts are actually printed as graphics and therefore can be printed on any printer that can support graphics.
    • Printer: Printer fonts are the default fonts that come already installed with the printer.
    • Soft: Other fonts can be used by downloading soft fonts.
If there is the possibility that fonts used in the document are not going to be available on another printer, techniques such as embedding or substituting can be used.

Dell C840 Increasing resolution increase screen size and vice versa

Laptops when running in non native resolutions sometimes tend to use a small area, so that the bluring of text is not noticeable. The reason is that laptop text is only sharp in its native resolution, and in your case the possibility is that your native resolution is 1600x1200 (If you can post the exact model or a link with your machine configuration, I can confirm what the native resolution is).

However you can make the icons and text larger, the best way is to and change the font size in windows (display settings) from the normal to large or extra large. This makes all the fonts much larger and easy on the eye, and it also will keep the text large as you are still running it in native solution mode.
