I have an HP 400C DVD writer (CD writer combo). I am able to durn movies but when I go to "copy" files to a DVD disc It does not recognize that I have a disc in the driver. I often have issues with the discs not being recognized. I am thinking that, in this case, the software (files ready to be written to disc) that is in use on this computer only wants to copy to a CD rW. Could that be right? How can I change this - I am trying to make a backup disc and using CD RW would be too much. Help!???
What type of application are you using? I know that the new nero requires you to choose whether you want to write to dvd or cd before it will work. maybe your application is similar.
