If the convergence appear to be correct, the next step is replace the fluid in one of the projection TV tubes. You will have to very carefully remove the screen and see into the mirror which picture tube is not clear. All the instructions will be found to fix this, by searching the this website....TvRepairKits.com. Have your TV model number and chassis number near by. Hi, Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655. Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen. Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure. Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem. Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years? Thanks.
These are retrace lines. The screen on the red tube is turned up too high. Inside the set there are 6 knobs. 3 for focus & 3 for screen. Turn down the red screen until lines are gone. These knobs are usually found by pulling of the front panel.
my 52" rca tv just started showing blue red double pictures yesterday...covergence don't show up on the set up menu anymore so i can not do anything..how much will it cost to fix this [email protected]
Problem solved. I tried playing DVD and the TV picture was fine. So I double-checked cable wires from cable box - one of the wires was loose (obviously it was the red color input). After tightening, the TV picture is good as new.
You should be watching your dvd's on an input and not on tv analog 3. Every time the tv "senses" a signal change in the audio that screen will pop up. Connect the DVD player to the tv by using either the red, white and yellow (composite) connections or using the green, blue, red, white and red (component). Once you are on an actual input that box will stop popping up.
These are called retrace lines they occur because of the blanking pulse not turning off the electron guns in the picture tube during the retrace period. Since this is occuring with the red gun there may be a proble with the video circuitry connected to the red electron gun of the picture tube. This would include the red amp and the red driver transistors. You will need a schematic and a multimeter to properly test these items.
