This is the test to determine toner or fuser issue.
Print a test page
When you hear the paper feed into the machine open the top to stop the machine
Remove the toner cart.
You should be able to see the page with printing on it. (This is before the page hits the fuser)
If you can see the smudge or marks on the page the problem is most likely the cartridge or cleaning roller but NOT the fuser.
If the page is clean the problem is most likely the fuser.

The color is not printing correctly. Things are coming out mostly pink or yellow. I tried the MAINTENANCE tab. The nozzle check showed that the top section (PGBK) looked good. The second section (C)...

The printhead has either become too clogged to flush out with with the internal cleaning operation (which uses a LOT of ink), OR, the nozzles are not firing. If after several cleaning operations there is still no significant improvement, you will need to replace the print head. I see this frequently with Canon and Epson, and Brother inkjet printers. Usually, it is due to leaving the printer idle for too long, or removing a cartridge and not replacing it right away. The air gets to the residual puddle of ink in the head and dries it.

You can find the replacement print head by Google searching "MP830 print head". Prices can vary from around $70 - $90. Changing it out is fairly simple. You only need to lift a lever that holds the head in place. Make certain that it is squarely seated, and then run a few pages of a color document, or do a couple of standard cleaning operations to "prime" the head.

Make sure the hed is NEW and not used or "refurbished". Here is one source on eBay that sells it for $78.00:

HP p2055dn has regular thick black lines running horizontally across each print out, four lines to a page, some lighter than others but the variation in density of the lines does not appear to run in a...

There will be a flap at the back that drops out and down to give access to the fuser for clearing jams and "straight through" printing. Four lines repeating down the page is equally likely to be be a mark on the cartridge drum, possibly from the Primary Charge Roller if the unit has been very hot or not used for a period of time in higher temperatures. Remove the toner cartridge and in LOW light manually rotate the drum using the gear at one end of the cylinder. Look for a scuff mark right across the drum or a black/grey line. You may be able to clean the drum with a cotton ball and alcohol. Try the print again and see if there is any improvement. If you have another cartridge in hand you might try that to verify cartridge or fuser.

Dirty printing job

Are they lines from one edge to the other in a straight line. Or is it faint reprint across the page?
Thin lines would most likely be a bad drum or cleaning blade.
If it is faint reprint it is the heat roller in the fuser.
