Just under 2 years ago I purchased a Panasonic HDTV. The last 6 months the people's faces have been turning more and more blue. I have tried adjusting the color hues and everything else I could, but to no avail. My warranty is up except for the CRT, but it expires in 5 days. I just wanted to know what the problem could be before I sent it in to get fixed. Thanks for your help!

if you have a Sony LCD projection ..Theres good chance optical block needs replacing .This spot will get bigger and will eventually cover most of screen the longer you use it .needs repair. If there is no warranty on this unit..I would estimate repair around 6- 8 hundred dollars ..
I just had the same problem with my Panasonic 52' A serviceman came and up date some info inside the set, took out the blue and red spots. it was covered under warrienty. TV is 3 yrs old. Try to call your local service center, that what I did. Hope this helps.
The convergence IC's are definitely bad. This is a big repair involving taking out the main board and soldering in two new IC's. They are not plug-in components and you would need a professional to do this job.
I have a Panasonic PT-47WX53 rear projection TV and the picture was pretty dark for the last year but for game it was OK but know the blue is out of sequence, do I need to change the lamps?
And where to find them?
If you purchased the TV 6 months ago, still under manufacturers warranty. They normally give customers 1 year warranty coverage.
It looks like the main board will have to be replace on this TV or fix to the component level.
I have a Samsung 50" plasma, that has been blacking out over the last 6 months. A 9/2005 set. Now its practically unwatchable as it happens 3 times in an hour. Its not heat related - I have a high volume 9" fan activated on TV power on. Turning the set offf/on usually makes it come back for a now short while. Considering to go put it in the back of my pickup and park it in front of Best Buy and discourage Samsung purchases. This is the 2nd Samsung TV I've purchased (the other a 32" tube) I gave to my folks a couple years ago and its gone bad as well. Samsung product may look good, but their video engineers are not.
the tv color circuit is off frequency change the color ic take a look on the crystal that gives the 4.8.mhz burst could be that it needs to be replace dont rule out the video IF change the two ICs you mention.good luck.from the look of your tv screen that is my conclusion.good luck.email me at [email protected]
