I lost power to two of the handsets. So when I press Talk the handsets come up "Unavailable". According to directions I have set them in the main base to reset. They won't reset. I tried unplugging the base. Now all three handsets are "unavailable". I did try pulling the battery and putting it back (after waiting about 30 sec). No luck. I bought the phones new, and have only had them for about a month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem recently due to a power outage during a storm. GE advised to disconnect the power cord and telephone cord on the "mother" unit. Wait five minutes. Then plug it back in.
I placed the "mother" phone back in the base. After the screen flashed on the "mother" phone, I removed it and then put the other two portables in the "mother" base.
This corrected my problem and all is now well.
