i subscribe to both of these channels and have not had an issue with following their instructions

Go to your desktop opening screen. Place your cursor on a blank area. Click the right button on your mouse. Click on the display properties then on font size. This will change the default size. Check out your applications and see if you like it. You may need to change your screen size to something like 800 x 600. This can be a LOT oif work.

If you are running windows 7 then go to "Control Panel - Appearance and personalization - Display" and select the font size you like. Vista and XP are very similar.

For Windows XP : Right Click on Desktop--> Properties--> Appearance--> Font Size, here you can able to change the size.

For Windows Vista :

1. Right-click the Desktop background, and click Personalize .

The manual doesn't list scaleable font size as a feature. You will probably have to set your font size in the document you are making.

The the text size in browsers are change if you have a scrolling mouse or if side of your touchpad 'active scroll'. You do it by holding down the "Ctrl" key and scrolling up or down. Make sure you are not accidentally doing that and its the reason for font/pic change. Are you using Outlook? Also try this: In Outlook. click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Mail Format tab.
Under Stationery and Fonts, click Fonts, and then click International Fonts. Then, select the font size that you want to use in Internet Explorer or Firefox, click Set as Default, and then click OK until you can quit the program.
