Hi, i think you have to check all the setting related to voice just check them out. Then still you find trouble just RESET the camera. all the best..

Ok, if i record mself singing and upload it to the computer...will i be able to here me sing there or not at all???

Welcome to Fixya. All digitals camera has a features of video recordings, however they have the difference when you try to review or watch it thru the camera itself. I have the same camera as yours, First I thought that my camera was damaged because I don't hear any sounds at all when I'm trying to view/watch my brother's gradustion day. When I try to transfer all the data on my computer, thinking that trying to re-format the camera will be the resolution for my issue to hear the sounds of my recordings. While listening to a music while reviewing my pictures on the computer, I heard a different sounds, then when I try to pause my music, I'm happy to hear that its my brother's video on his graduation.

The answer to your question if your going to upload your video on your computer, YES! you can hear the sounds of your recordings thru your computer.

Diamond vc500 capture screen shows analog picture on only the top 80% of the available screen. The output digital video is only the top 80% of the original analog video. How do I fix this?

When mine does that, I just turn it off and on again. That usually works.

Direct TY DVR won't turn on and the orange record button is on. I reset and unplugged it but it still won't power up

Same issue here. Direct tv said they'll replace the box but I would still like to know what's wrong with it. Anyone?

Click On Video icon and record video but not the sound, an ideas

Normal 0 Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop down and select Camera Microphone.
Click OK and it should work.

Magic Sing EG-18000 Microphone Delay

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.

Sorry to disapoint you, but this Nikon Model does not have sound recording capabilities. Its quite a drawback to file video without sound...Otherwize it a great camera
